Are you a seasoned paralegal with a passion for trust and estate litigation? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment where no two days are the same? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to work on high-profile cases, collaborate with top legal professionals, and make a significant impact in the lives of our clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate litigation from inception through trial.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
3. Managing case documents, including organizing and maintaining litigation files.
4. Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
5. Coordinating and communicating with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
6. Assisting in the administration of trusts and estates, including the preparation of estate tax returns.
7. Staying up-to-date with changes in trust and estate law and informing attorneys of any relevant changes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal position, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in trust and estate litigation.
2. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
3. Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
4. Strong knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and court rules.
5. Experience with the administration of trusts and estates.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
10. A high degree of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
