Job Description

*Overview*

Clinton Trail Animal Hospital in Jackson, MI is seeking a full-time (part-time considered) veterinarian to join our growing 3-doctor practice. We emphasize a relaxed, friendly, family-focused environment while striving for excellent medical standards of care for our patients. A full-time position would include 4 days per week, no weekend, after-hours emergencies or holiday hours. New grands are welcome!

This dog and cat exclusive facility includes full in-house IDEXX laboratories, Quattro digital radiography, ultrasound, high-speed dental unit, full anesthetic monitoring, Tonopen and more. We offer competitive compensation including production/salary, medical insurance stipend, membership and licensing dues, IRA with 3% match, paid vacation/CE time-off, liability insurance, and CE and uniform allowances.

*Duties*

Including but not limited to:

* Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
* Perform general surgeries.
* Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
* Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with staff and pet owners.
* Provide critical care for animals in emergency situations, demonstrating expertise in veterinary critical care practices.
* Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures, employing effective animal handling techniques.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
* Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, grooming, nutrition, and overall care practices.
* Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
* Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.

*Requirements*

* State of Michigan Veterinarian License

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
