Wedgewood Weddings is hiring to expand our team of skilled Facility Janitorial team members to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our event venues/buildings and common grounds.

A Wedgewood Weddings Facility Janitor is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

The Facility Janitor position is responsible for performing cleaning after each event we host. Various cleaning duties include sweeping, moping, removing trash, cleaning surfaces, and vacuuming various areas of the venue. As our events generally occur in the afternoons and evenings, shifts for the Facility Janitor will begin shortly after an event ends, generally late nights or early mornings. The Facility Janitor is instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness of our high performing venue to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop event spaces post event
• Remove trash post event
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and wipe down areas of getting ready suites.
• Clean restrooms post event, to include cleaning counters, toilets and floors.
• Ensure the venue is clean and presentable for all events and potential clients
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Operations Manager
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general cleaning practices including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Attention to details & quality driven.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Must be able to complete tasks effectively, accurately & in a timely manner.
• Ability to prioritize work in order of importance.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Must be willing to work late nights and/or early mornings on weekends or weekdays

Qualifications:

• Availability to work late nights and/or early mornings
• Ability to multitask.
• Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
