Job Title: Business Data Analyst – REMOTE

Location: Remote (U.S. Based)

Job Type: Full-Time

Department: Data & Analytics / Business Intelligence

Reports To: Manager/Director of Business Analytics

About The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Data Analyst to join our remote team. As a key member of the analytics team, you will work closely with stakeholders across departments to analyze business performance, uncover actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making. You will transform complex data into clear, concise reports and dashboards that help drive strategic initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets from various business systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, marketing platforms).
  • Design and deliver insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Monitor KPIs, trends, and performance metrics to support ongoing business improvement efforts.
  • Identify business opportunities through data analysis and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Support A/B testing, forecasting, and statistical modeling as needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across all analytics efforts.
  • Automate repetitive reporting tasks and optimize existing dashboards and queries.
  • Document business requirements, data sources, processes, and solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a business/data analyst role or similar.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying from relational databases.
  • Strong experience with Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
