About The Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Income Tax to join their tax team in Denver. Reporting directly to the Director of Tax , this key leadership role will oversee U.S. income tax compliance and reporting while also contributing to tax planning, technical research , and special projects that drive business value.

While the provision is relatively straightforward, this role provides the opportunity to stretch into broader tax responsibilities and work on impactful planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740)
• Oversee U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, coordinating with outsourced tax providers to ensure timely and accurate filings
• Conduct and supervise technical tax research on complex corporate and international tax matters
• Support and contribute to domestic and international tax planning initiatives and special projects
• Stay current on U.S. and international tax developments and assess their impact on the business
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and compliance firms
• Supervise and mentor 2 junior members of the team

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation or Accounting preferred
• CPA license required
• Minimum 6+ years of corporate income tax experience, with public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong background in both income tax compliance and ASC 740 provision
• Supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated exposure to international tax
• Strong technical tax research and analytical skills
• Experience overseeing outsourced tax return preparation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
