Ariel G.

An Iowa native, Ariel spent her formative years in New Mexico, Kentucky, and Indiana. She earned her Associate in Arts degree at Cottey College in Missouri, then transferred to Simpson College in Iowa to complete her music education major, as well as studying a semester abroad in London. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree.

After several years in the traditional school system, Ariel now prefers teaching massage. It is her profession of choice, and her private practice brings her much joy and satisfaction.

Massage Therapy was instrumental in helping Ariel recover from a very challenging episode in her life and in preparing her for family and career. She practiced her first six years in association with a chiropractic clinic, and opened her own studio in Urbandale in 2013. Addressing special client concerns is her favorite type of massage. Ariel’s adorable little daughter is one of her most eager students, and they love to trade bodywork with each other.

Family camping vacations in her childhood and trips to Mexico and the Philippines instilled an early love of travel and outdoor adventure in Ariel. She also loves reading, British mystery shows, crafts, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their dog. Music is a passion she shares with her husband, and she plays oboe and piano, and directs her church bell choir.
